Trouble Reporting Number (611):

Dialing "611" from any telephone connected to the Ganado Telephone Company wired network will place a call into our trouble reporting number. During business hours, this call will be answered by one of our customer service representatives. After business hours, you will be prompted to select option number 3 and record a message. Leaving a message will page a technician and is the most efficient way to report trouble after business hours.

Texas Relay (711):

Dialing "711" from any telephone connected to the Ganado Telephone Company network will connect you to the Texas Relay Network, a service for the deaf, hard of hearing and mute.

Business Office Number (811):

Dialing "811" " from any telephone connected to the Ganado Telephone Company wired network will place a call into our business office. During business hours, this call will be answered by one of our customer service representatives. After business hours, you will have the option of leaving a voice mail message.

Fire / Police / EMS Emergency (911):

Dialing "911" from any telephone connected to the Ganado Telephone Company wired network will place a call into an emergency answering center local to your county. Please be prepared to give the nature of the emergency, your address or location and a call back number where you can be reached.

Three Way Calling

Three Way Calling allows you to participate in a conversation with three people, at three different places at the same time. You can add a third person to your current call regardless of who initiated the call. Save time and money by getting everything sorted out on a single call.

To use Three Way Calling:

Establish a regular call with another party.

Flash the switchhook.

You will hear a recall dial tone and the first party is placed on hold.

Dial the number of the third party.

When the third party answers, flash the switchhook again.

All three persons can now participate in the call.

To Cancel Three Way Calling:

A called party can leave Three Way Calling at any time simply by hanging up.

When the caller disconnects, the called party is disconnected.

800 / 900 / 976 Call Blocking:

Ganado Telephone Company has call blocking options that help you control the cost of   your telephone service.  At your request, we can block the dialing of   800, 900 and 976 calls that can create additional charges on your telephone bill.

Anonymous Call Rejection

Anonymous Call Rejection lets you refuse calls from callers that have intentionally blocked the delivery of their calling information. These callers will receive a recorded message indicating that you do not accept anonymous calls. They will be instructed to remove Call Display Blocking and call again. Calls without call display blocking will ring Your phone normally.

To use Anonymous Call Rejection:

Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.

To deactivate Anonymous Call Rejection:

Automatic Call Back

Automatic Call Back gets you connected to those busy numbers within your local calling area as soon as possible.
Automatic Call Back will alert you with a special ring when the busy number is available. You can continue with other tasks while the telephone works for you.

To use Automatic Call Back:

When you hear a busy signal, hang up.

Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.

Dial *66 and then hang up.

You will be alerted by a special ring when the called number becomes available.

To deactivate Automatic Call Back:

Automatic Recall

Automatic Recall allows you to redial your last caller even if you don’t know who it was and even if you didn’t answer.

To use Automatic Recall:

Lift the handset and listen for a dial tone.

Dial *69.

If the line is idle, your call will be connected.

To deactivate Automatic Recall:

Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.

Your Automatic Recall request will be cancelled.

Call Forwarding

Call Forwarding allows transfer your calls to any other telephone, cellular telephone, or pager. You can leave the house without the worry of missing an important call.

To activate Call Forwarding:

Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.

Dial *72 and the number where your calls will be received.

When the called number answers, your call forwarding is complete.

If the called number is busy or if there is no answer, repeat the steps.

Your home phone can still be used to make out going calls even when call forwarding is activated!

To Cancel Call Forwarding:

Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.

Hang up the handset.

Your calls will now ring your phone normally.

Call Trace (Customer Originated Trace):

Customer Originated Trace records information about the last incoming call you received. This information is helpful for determining the source of threatening or harassing phone callers. Information obtained from using Customer Originated Trace is only released to Law Enforcement authorities.

To use Customer Originated Trace:

When you receive the offending call, flash the hook switch.

Dial *57 and listen for the confirmation message.

Hang up.

Record the time and date the call was received along with any call details.

Immediately notify your local law enforcement department.

Call Waiting

Call Waiting lets you use the phone without the fear of missing an important call. You will be notified by a special beep when you have another call. Call Waiting is an ideal feature for small businesses and busy households.

To use Call Waiting:

During a normal call, you will be alerted by a beep that a call is waiting.

Flash the hook switch to place the first call on hold and answer the new caller.

You may switch between callers by flashing the hook switch as needed.

To end your call, hang up the handset.

After you subscribe to Call Waiting, the feature is always Active until you use the Cancel Call Waiting feature to deactivate it.

Cancel Call Waiting (during the next call only)

Cancel Call Waiting allows you to turn off the call waiting feature during the next call you place. Convenient for conversations when you do not want to be disturbed by call waiting and necessary for  calls to internet, data services or when fax information is being sent.

To use Cancel Call Waiting:

Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.

Dial *70 and the number you are calling.

You can now enjoy your call (or your internet connection) without the interruption of call waiting.

After you complete your call and hang up, your call waiting will return to normal.

Calling Number Block (during next call only)

Calling Number Block lets you decide when you want your calling Information to be displayed. For those occasions when you prefer that your phone number not be displayed, you can suppress the delivery of your calling information on a per call basis.

To use Calling Number Block:

Lift the handset listen for dial tone.

Dial *67 and the number you are calling.

Selective Call Acceptance

Selective Call Acceptance automatically screens your incoming calls. You decide in advance which calls to accept. You will only receive calls from the numbers on your acceptance list. Callers whose numbers are not on your list will be answered by a recorded announcement and your phone will not ring.

To use Selective Call Acceptance:

Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.

Dial *64.

Listen for the voice messages and select the proper options for activating, deactivating, adding and deleting numbers to your Selective Call Acceptance list.

Selective Call Forwarding:

Selective Call Forwarding allows you to forward only the calls you choose in advance to another location, cellular telephone or pager. A list of numbers which you want forwarded if they call is kept by The telephone company. Calls from these numbers will automatically be forwarded to the number of your choice. All other callers will ring
your phone as normal.

To use Selective Call Forwarding:

Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.

Dial *63.

Listen for the voice messages and select the proper options for activating, deactivating, adding and deleting numbers to your Selective Call Forwarding list.

Selective Call Rejection:

Selective Call Rejection keeps unwanted calls from bothering you. A list of directory numbers is used to determine which calls to reject. When this feature is activated, incoming calls from a number on the list
will be answered by a recorded message. The caller will be informed that you are not accepting calls from that number. Your phone will not ring.

To use Selective Call Rejection:

Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.

Listen for the voice messages and select the proper options
for activating, deactivating, adding and deleting rejected
numbers to your Selective Call Rejection list.

Selective Distinctive Ring / Call Waiting

Selective Distinctive Rings notifies you with a special ring or call waiting tone when someone special is calling. Calls from numbers not on your list will ring your phone as normal. Great to distinguish family, friends or work from normal calls.

To use Selective Distinctive Ring / Call Waiting:

Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.

Listen for the voice messages and select the proper options for activating, deactivating, adding and deleting numbers to your Selective Distinctive Ringing list.

Short Speed Calling:

Short Speed Calling allows you to program up to 8 telephone numbers which can be dialed from any telephone in your home by simply pressing 2 digits.

While many phones currently sold allow you to program numbers into the memory of the telephone, Short Speed Calling allows you to program your numbers only once and access those numbers from all of your phones.

Programming:

Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.

Dial *74 and wait 4 seconds.

Listen for the dial tone to return.

Dial one of the 8 one-digit speed numbers (2 – 9).

Dial the number you want to store.

Press the "#" button to save your number.

Listen for two short beeps indicating the number has been stored.

Hang up and repeat the procedure for the next number to be stored.

To use Short Speed Calling:

Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.

Long Speed Calling:

Long Speed Calling allows you to program up to 30 telephone numbers which can be dialed from any telephone in your home by simply pressing 3 digits.

Toll Denial helps you control the cost of your monthly phone service by restricting the ability to place long distance calls.

Tone Dialing:

Tone dialing gives you the ability to access services that require sending tone digits such as pagers, voice mail and home banking.
